Last night I went with Dangermarc to go see the new Indiana Jones movie. I was proud of myself for trekking all the way from Brooklyn to Union Square on the subway by myself. (Sure, I only had to take one train, and it was an express train that only made three stops between my stop and the destination. But still….!)

Anyway, the movie was thoroughly enjoying in way I didn’t expect it could be. I mean, how can a 60 some-odd year old man still be an action hero. Well, Harrison Ford proved that age doesn’t mean a thing in these days.

Except for the movie being on the longish side, it was utterly fantastic. Lots of scary stuff, archeological stuff, big bugs, snakes, magic, and god. What more could you ask for? (Well, except for seeing Shia naked, maybe…)

As for Shia, it definitely does seem that they are ready to hand off the Indiana mantle to him. Maybe Harrison Ford becomes the Sean Connery father figure, and Shia is the new action hero. We’ll see. I’m not convinced Shia can pull it off. But here’s hoping…
