Oh man, this is just going to get a lot worse. Where are the Republican leaders calling for some decorum? (BTW, there is a HUGE difference saying you don’t condone violence versus telling your constituents to knock the shit off and act like grown up human beings.)

Oh, right. Here’s Rep. Eric Cantor saying it’s the Democrats fault for calling attention to the hate and violence that’s fanning the flames of the hate and violence? “Enough is enough. This has to stop.” That would be an awesome comment if he was directing it at those committing violence. But no. He’s addressing the Democrats who have shared the hateful emails and voicemails they’ve received. Um, misplaced condemnation much?!

A new study suggests that hating someone “heightens your judgment and your ability to assess what other people are likely to do next.” Interesting. So, haters are more capable of tactically judging situations, whereas love impairs judgment.

The legal ramifications are interesting too. “If a court can prove that somebody committed an act of violence while under the influence of hate, that person might go to jail for a much longer time than they would otherwise.”
