My friends Eric and Ben used to play this game of Photoshop Tennis where they’d take turns enhancing a photo and pass it back and forth. I saw these images and couldn’t help but think of Eric and Ben’s old game:

That’s what Nate Silver says the new polls are reporting:

That’s right: just five states, collectively containing about 2 percent of the American population, have statistically significant pluralities of adults identifying themselves as Republicans. These are the “Mormon Belt” states of Utah, Idaho and Wyoming, plus Nebraska, plus Alaska. By contrast, 35 states are plurality Democratic, and 10 states are too close to call.

Christian and I have been watching a lot of Star Trek lately. I never really watched much of Voyager or Enterprise, so he’s been catching me up. Now we have a tool that’ll allow us to create our very own Star Trek adventure! (via io9)
