I saw Iron Man this weekend. Wow. Just wow. It’s not quite as good as Batman Begins, but a very close runner up. Robert Downey Jr. was brilliant, as were Jeff Bridges and Gweneth Paltrow. Can’t wait for the sequels.

Speaking of sequels, Filmdrunk has a snarky comment on the upcoming Marvel movies. After all the credits roll in Iron Man, there’s an additional 10 seconds of footage that suggests Marvel is planning more movies. Their plan basically goes like this: Marvel will roll out a Thor movie and a Captain America movie in the next 2 years, in addition to the Iron Man sequels. Then in 2011 they’ll produce an Avengers movie teaming up Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, and Hulk. My only request is that they include Scarlett Witch and Hawkeye.
