Tina Fey on Voting for Hillary Clinton
Tina Fey is awesome, smart, funny, brilliant, and hot. She made an appearance on the SNL Weekend Update last weekend to discuss feminism and Hillary Clinton’s presidential run. A very interesting perspective worth thinking about. Definitely go check it out at Crooks and Liars.
my response is on my blog, and is basically this:
while i appreciate tina fey’s stand for feminism (i particularly like the jab at post-feminism), there are some other strikes against hillary that matter more to me than anything she addressed in her little cheer for feminism.
while those other criticisms are surefire proof that sexism is far from dead in America, that’s not any reason to vote for her based on sex. besides….isn’t doing so also technically sexism? i get so confused.
