Would Jesus Support the Death Penalty?
William over at Who Would Jesus Vote For? asks a very good question based on the GOP Youtube debate: Would Jesus Support the Death Penalty?
I liked William’s exploration of the topic. I also think Huckabee’s dodging of the question is really annoying. Huckabee dissed Giuliani for being less god-fearing than him, and he constantly touts himself as the Christian right’s candidate of choice. If he’s going to claim a divine right to the presidency because of his Christian faith, then he needs to address theological questions like this directly and honestly.
